Where did you get inspiration from when creating the book Paper, Paper, Paper?
We’re a curious bunch! Our work involves a lot of continuous research, so we tend to experiment with a wealth of ideas. Our iterative process is quite energetic, with each team member bringing their unique perspective to the projects. Honestly, it’s harder to choose which ideas to use than to find them, so what you see is only a sliver of what we produce!
What inspired you?
During our research for The Book Block and The Book Cover, we got fascinated with what we were finding about paper. Realising that there’s very valuable knowledge for our daily Design work in paper engineering and transformation, we wanted to make this information accessible to a public that sits outside these niches. Hence the birth of Paper, Paper, Paper.
What does paper mean to you?
We make books, so paper is our everyday material. It’s difficult for us to think of a book without considering its physical and tactile qualities, so paper is a huge part of the experience. It’s such an expressive material, and there’s so much you can do with it!
What are you up to right now?
We have several books in development on Graphic Design, Print Production, and Typography. But they’re still a secret! Here’s a hint: we’re dropping clues, so follow us to see what you can glean.
