A printed product is not finished just because it has come off the presses. There is still post-production, a collective term for several different stages and processes that take place after printing. Although post-production comes last in the printing process it has to be decided at an early stage, as the choice of post-production methods often governs other factors, such as choice of paper. It is therefore a good idea to have post-production in mind early on. We are now going to take a closer look at the most common post-production methods for uncoated paper, also called bookbinding or post-press.
